Hi, I’m Chanika Suwanmanee, but everyone calls me Chani!
I studied chemical engineering and later earned a master’s in Industrial Engineering. Somewhere along the way, I realised I’m happiest outdoors – on a bike, on a trail, free and close to nature. So I followed that feeling and became a tour guide.
Cycling is a big part of my life. I race with the VITAMILK – VANILLA Residence Cycling Team here in Chiang Mai and have taken part in many amateur road and mountain bike races across Thailand.
I also love to travel. During and after my studies, I explored Asia, Europe and New Zealand, picking up languages and learning about other cultures. That’s when I discovered how much I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and exploring together.
That led me to the Tour Guide Training Course at Far Eastern University. Today I’m a licensed tour guide for Chiang Mai and Northern Thailand. I speak Thai and English, plus a few words of German and Dutch.
After years of guiding for other tour companies, I decided to start my own adventure: Chiang Mai Cycling Buddy. I can’t wait to ride with you!
