Full Itinerary
Chiang Rai is the second largest city in northwest Thailand, and Chiang Rai is also one of the most scenic provinces in Thailand. Being home to the mountains of the Golden Triangle there are plenty of nice roads to ride! During this six-day trip we will ride from Chiang Mai, via Fang, Mae Salong, Doi Tung, Chiang Saen, and Phi Chi Fa to Phayao. Sleeping on top of the rice fields around Fang will offer the early birds an amazing sunrise opportunity. On the second day there are some serious climbs on the menu. Stunning views over the flower fields, and tea plantations will let you forget the suffering, though! From Mae Salong we will ride to Chiang Saen via Doi Tung. One of the most iconic climbs in Northern Thailand. During the following days we will ride along the Mekong River, and climb to Phu Chi Fa. The last ride of the tour finishes in Phayao, from where we will get back to Chiang Mai by van.

This tour is the ideal alternative for the Mae Hong Son Loop if you are in for a serious challenge, but also admire some easier rides during the week.
