Seven days through Northern Thailand's most spectacular and least-traveled mountain roads. From Chiang Mai's backroads into the remote hills of Lampang, across the lakeside town of Phayao, and deep into Nan province — one of Thailand's best-kept secrets for cyclists.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Chiang Mai

Airport pickup and transfer to your hotel. Bike setup, welcome dinner, and tour briefing.

Day 2  Chiang Mai → Muang Pan (122 km | +2,161 m)

A big opening day with long climbs on quiet backroads out of Chiang Mai. You finish surrounded by the green hills of Lampang - a taste of what's to come.

Day 3  Muang Pan → Phayao (109 km | +1,292 m)

Rolling climbs past rice fields and hill tribe villages lead to Phayao, a relaxed lakeside town. The sunset over Kwan Phayao Lake is one of the highlights of the whole trip.

Day 4  Phayao → Phulangka (152 km | +1,862 m)

The longest day but the roads are smooth and the scenery keeps you going. You overnight near Phulangka National Park, famous for its dramatic sea of mist at sunrise.

Day 5  Phulangka → Pua (102 km | +2,105 m)

A scenic ride through mountains and valleys into Pua, the gateway to Doi Phu Kha National Park. A relaxed evening in a charming mountain town.

Day 6  Pua → Bo Klua (83 km | +2,684 m)

Shorter in distance but packed with climbing. You enter Doi Phu Kha National Park, Northern Thailand's largest and summit the viewpoint at 1,715m. Overnight in Bo Klua, an ancient salt village close to the Laos border.

Day 7  Bo Klua → Nan (87 km | +1,842 m)

A final mountain ride before a long descent into the Nan valley. Spend the evening exploring Nan city, temples, night market, and a wonderfully laid-back vibe.

Day 8  Nan Coffee Ride (56 km | +438 m)

A relaxed morning ride around Nan before transferring by van back to Chiang Mai in the afternoon. Farewell dinner together in the evening.

Day 9  Departure Airport transfer for your onward journey.
